Anya Taylor-Joy

The birth of Anya Taylor-Joy took place on the 16th of April, 1996 in Miami Florida. A half English and half Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. She is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother is Spanish with English roots. She was the first born of a clan of six children. Four are her siblings from the previous marriage to Taylor's father. Buenos Aires was her home up until she was six years old, when the family moved into Victoria in London. Taylor Joy admitted that the transition from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was difficult and she did not study English, hoping to go back to Argentina. Hill House, a school within the same district as Northlands was required to enroll her. Later she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. At the age of 16, she quit college and began pursuing a career as an actress full-time. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to work as an actor. Her dream was granted a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her a job as a model.
