Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is an British music producer and singer. Harry Styles was one of the founding members of One Direction. He was born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England 1 February 1994, he is the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former student at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive Schools, created a band named White Eskimo along with three other students. After winning the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to a stellar performance, the band also took part in 2010. Even though he had always expressed an interest in music, despite his passion in it, he also wanted to be a lawyer or physiotherapist. He was employed at a local bakery part-time to help his family financially. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) during the auditions in 2010 for The X Factor. For that reason his band was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who recommended Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to join the group in 2010. The band of five was backed by Simon Cowell. They performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. The group was among the best contenders for the contest. But they finished in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles was not the winner, but Cowell had paid two million pounds as part of a deal for One Direction.
