Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28th, 1967) was an American actress and singer. She began her acting career when she was in her teens. She was best known for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as playing the character of the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She is the mother of three brothers and sisters. She began singing in nightclubs as a teenager and would sneak out of her house to sing. The actress studied acting since when she was 13 years old at Wooster School, then studied the art of drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts alongside renowned teacher Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer is an American model, actress and singer. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on April 28 on the 28th of April, 1967. She is the daughter the father of a German American and a mother who is German-American. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. In her early years as an teen, she performed in nightclubs by taking a break from home. When she was 13 years older, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. She then enrolled in drama studies at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College; plus, at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art along with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. Kari started acting when she was aged a teenager. Her first break on television was 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
