Guarnaschelli Maria Guarnaschelli's daughter , is a cookbook editor. In 1991, she was a graduate of Barnard College with an art historian degree. In 1991 , she was employed for the minimum wage at a restaurant known as an American Place for one year. Guarnaschelli's culinary experience started while watching her mother test numerous recipes in her kitchen while editing cookbooks. Guarnaschelli started her career working with Larry Forgione. Her son Marc Forgione was the Iron Chef. Guarnaschelli went on to be employed at several restaurants throughout France as well as Los Angeles. Guy Savoy is the owner of La Butte Chaillot. Prior to joining Butter as the executive chef, Guarnaschelli worked at the restaurant of Daniel Boulud at his eponymous restaurant. After the restaurant's closure, she was the executive chef of The Darby. The Museum of Food and Drink's Culinary Council. In 2013, Guarnaschelli's first cookbook was published. "Old School Foods: My Way of Learning to Cook" comprises personal stories and recipes that Guarnaschelli adapted from her work experience.
