Aahoo Jahansouzshahi (born January 10, 1980) popularly referred to as Sarah Shahi is an American actress and former model. She was the actress who played Carmen in The L Word 2005. Kate Reed, USA Network's legal drama Fairly Legal (2011-12), and Sameen Shaw in CBS crime drama Person of Interest (2012)-2016. Additionally, she played the lead role of Det. Dani Reese is a character in the show Life[3] as well as Alias. She was also a star in Reverie which was a series that premiered in 2018. In 2019, she was as a regular in City on a Hill on Showtime[5] as well as in seven episodes of the show The Rookie as romantic interest Jessica Russo While working as an extra on the set of Dr. T and the Women in Texas, Shahi met director Robert Altman, who encouraged her to go to Hollywood which is where she landed roles in several series that included Alias and Dawson's Creek, Reba, and Supernatural. In 2005, she was in the role of supporting actress DJ Carmen de la Pica Morales on The L Word, which she joined in its second season. Shahi's two-year contract with the show was not renewed at the end of season four and her character was rewritten.
