Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Picha, is an Indian-American business executive. He is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.Born in Madurai in India,[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. After moving to the United States, he attained an M.S. from Stanford University in materials science and engineering . He also earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in which he was named a Siebel Scholar and a Palmer Scholar, respectively.Pchai began his career as a materials engineer. After a brief stint with McKinsey and Co. as an executive consultant, Pichai was recruited by Google in 2004 as the head of the innovation and product management for several of Google's client products. They comprised ChromeOS as well as ChromeOS. He also led Google Drive. Additionally, he went on to oversee the development of other applications like Gmail as well as Google Maps. Pichai introduced WebM in 2010 and announced open-sourcing the new codec for video called VP8 from Google. 2012 saw the release of Chromebook. Pichai also added Android to the Google products he managed in 2013.
